Moving on up with my new Nikon D90
Santa was good to me this year. He She (my wife) gave me the green light to pick up a new DSLR for Christmas this year and after tons of research and a lot of waffling back and forth, I decided on the Nikon D90. Why Nikon and why the D90?
- I used to use and old Nikon N70 (film camera) and I still have 2 lenses that I wanted to be able to use again.
- The D90 is the cheapest Nikon that will still auto-focus my older lenses since it has a focusing motor in the body.
- I never read a bad review of the D90 - seriously, try to find a bad review…I tried and couldn’t find one.
- It’s a good balance of value and performance.
I’ve only had it charged up for a few hours and I’ve taken 60 or so pictures and it’s worlds better than the Panasonic Lumix point-and-shoot I was using but we’re not exactly comparing apples to apples here either. I still have quite a bit to learn about the D90 and I plan on sharing anything and everything I learn.
